The particularity of the tube chimes is their very long sustain. According to the size it lasts between 1 and 2 minutes. Copper tubes are suspended in elastic threads on a frame of ash wood. They are played with mallets or even with fingers.
On request, tube chimes are available in various pentatonic and diatonic scales with a range of two octaves.
